A DANISH SILVER TAN...
A DANISH SILVER TANKARD
Probably Odense, ca. 1731
The cylindrical body chased with scrolling blossoms and foliage below a conforming domed circular hinged lid with a lion thumb grip, inset with a Danish silver coin of 1731, the side with a hollow double-scroll handle and raised on three cast lion feet, four pegs to interior. Marked under base. Marks partially worn.
