A PAIR OF SILVER FIVE BRANCH WEIGHTED CANDELABRA

19th C., Bearing Irish hallmarks

Each with a weighted chased scroll and leafage baluster-form standard continuing to a similarly chased nozzle and on a shaped circular slightly domed base raised on three cast and pierced scroll and mask feet, the five-light branches each with a cast and chased figural support in the form of a kneeling courtier holding a cup, the scrolled candlearms each supporting a nozzle with scrolls and leafage around masks and removable bobeches. The branches apparently unmarked, the bases and bobeches bearing marks for Dublin, 1806, maker's mark NS. Altered, the standards with remains of gilding.H: 24-1/2 in.
