Two Adolfo Two-Piece Ensembles, 1969
This pair of ensembles comes from Adolfo’s second collection for Fall/Winter 1969-70. Aretha Franklin wore an identical version of the red example on the cover of her single ‘Spanish Harlem.’
This lot includes two two-piece ensembles.
THE FIRST
Brown velvet top with bateau neckline, bell sleeves, and center back zipper closure; paired with long brown velvet quilted skirt with floral top stitching detail, gold-tone and green embroidered flowers and leaves, matching attached tie belt, two front hip slit pockets, and center back zipper closure.
