Lot Description
A Large Chinese Cloisonné Enamel Covered Jar and A Hardwood Stand
Late 19th-20th Century
the low rounded jar worked with a ground of lotus head scrolls and shou characters to ruddy aubergine reversing oblong foliate-bordered panels worked with antiquities, flanked with gilt animal masks suspending loop handles form pointed fangs, the tiered rounded cover worked en suite and surmounted by a large globular final; all resting atop a hardwood stand ornamented with cloisonne plaques to a plain scroll apron above curvilinear legs joined above a circular base.
