[EARLY PHOTOGRAPHY]. A group of 5 items involving 19th century photograph coloring, incl. glass slide coloring kit. 


Dunne's Transparent Pastel Colors. A set of 12 colors housed inside the original 8 1/2 x 3 1/2 x 1 in. wooden box, manufactured by M.K. Dunne, 1905 (wear to interior applied paper label, including tearing, some loss, wear to pastels and box consistent with age and use). Accompanied by original "Instruction Booklet for Coloring All Kinds of Photographs, Transparencies, and Lantern Slides" (creasing, corner and edge wear including tearing and some loss).

Dutton and Company, 1917 (wear to extremities, some interior toning and occasional spotting). -- The Principles and Practice of Harmonious Coloring, in Oil, Water, and Photographic Colours: Especially as Applied to Photographs on Paper, Glass, and Silver-Plate. London: James Newman, 1863 (light wear to extremities). -- Box of Photographic Dry Plates, manufactured by Hammer Dry Plate Company, St. Louis, MO (apears to be partial). -- Box of Seed's Dry Plates, manufactured by Eastman Kodak Co., Rochester, NY.
