[WASHINGTON, George (1732-1799)]. Memorable Era, eagle with sun inaugural button. N.p., 1789.
34 mm stamped brass 1-piece button with full shank (shank slightly bent, details sharp, lime green patina). Impressed spread-wing eagle with sun above, with surrounding legend, "Memorable Era March the Fourth 1789." Reverse plain. Provenance: excavated in Charleston, SC (per consignor).
