[EARLY PHOTOGRAPHY]. A pair of postmortem daguerreotypes of young children, comprising: 


Sixth plate portrait of a young girl posed with her head resting on a pillow. (Some spotting to plate with scattered scratches/abrasions to edges; no preserver; resealed at corners.) Housed in leatherette case (significant surface wear, discoloration and wear to satin pad). -- Sixth plate portrait of a very young toddler lying horizontally and posed with a blanket covering her lower half and her arms crossed over her stomach. (Spotting and clouding to plate, with spotting to mat and preserver; resealed.) Housed in a half pressed paper case (surface wear). Paper label in back of case identifies the image to the 1839-1889 photography collection of "Albert Raborn Phillips, Jr., 1939." -- Together, 2 sensitive postmortem portraits.
