A Group of a USAF Academy Advisory Council and 1992 U.S. Navy Preflight Schools Awards Presented to Hall of Fame Oklahoma Football Coach Bud Wilkinson and a 16mm American Red Cross National Water Safety Test PSA Film
Well-known for his achievements as the legendary football coach of the Oklahoma Sooners, Charles Bud Wilkinson also served his country as a United States Naval officer from 1942-45. In 1992, Wilkinson was honored with the 50th Anniversary Commemorative Award by the U.S. Navy Preflight Schools. Wilkinson received this plaque to commemorate the honor and it stayed with him for the rest of his life.
