Lot Description

CARNEGIE, Andrew (1835-1919). Autograph letter signed ("Andrew Carnegie"), to Mr. John Martin. New York, 28 January 1911. 


2 pp., 4 3/4 x 5 1/2 in., on personal stationery, with envelope,  creased, a few spots, adhesive and paper residue to envelope. 

Carnegie writes: "So sorry the copy sent one of your book was mislaid at the holiday time & only turns up now. I shall read it with deep interest full of the faith that man has to advance by a law of his being. One is bound to ascend hence my motto 'all is well since all grows better.' I beg you to accept my latest volume & remain Sincerely Yours with renewed thanks."
