[EARLY PHOTOGRAPHY]. A group of 4 daguerreotypes and ambrotypes of young women, comprising: 


Quarter plate daguerreotype featuring vignetted portrait of young woman. (Few spots to plate, otherwise very fine condition; resealed.) Housed in Boston-style, push-button case, often used by Southworth & Hawes (loss to clasp, edge and corner wear). -- Sixth plate daguerreotype portrait of a young woman looking directly at the camera, accompanied by paper note identifying the subject as "Edith Brewster." (Few spots, tarnish to plate; cleaned and resealed 2001.) Housed in full pressed paper case (edge and corner wear). -- LEE, photographer. 2 quarter plate ambrotypes of young women, possibly sisters. Liverpool, [England]. (One image very clear, the other with some scattered spotting, no preservers present; resealed.) Housed together in full case with photographers' name in gilt on back cover (wear and some loss to surface). -- Together, 4 cased images featuring women.
