[SPANISH-AMERICAN WAR]. -- [MILITARIA]. A soldier's album from the 5th Infantry Regiment during the Philippine Insurrection with other military portraits.
7 1/4 x 5 3/4 in. leatherette scrapbook. Containing 34 images (most approx. 4 1/2 3 5/8 in.) and 18 pieces of ephemera, mostly contemporary newspaper clippings (creasing, some fading). The Philippines, ca 1899. With typed captions, the unknown soldier identifies his unit as the 5th Infantry Regiment. Images include forts, military exercises, the siege of Panay, and mass graves.
