Overall sturdy and ready to hang. Repairs to the upper projecting part of the crest, with old duct tape on the back and a small amount of overpainting to cover the fracture on the front. The repair is secure and the tape seems to be from before the repair was completed. Numerous worm holes visible from the front, particularly around the upper part of the mirror, and possibly not naturally occurring. Negligible chips and areas of flaking gilt with exposed wood and gesso. Several larger chips and gilt losses on the right side of the frame around the bird. The mirror plate is segmented and shows age and some areas of lost silvering, but unsure if original to the mirror. Additional photos available upon request.
