Born in 1926, Gianfranco Frattini was an Italian designer and architect, considered one of the leading figures of postwar Italian design. He is known for his furniture, lighting, decorative objects, and jewelry. After studying architecture at Politecnico di Milano, Frattini worked at several prominent Italian design firms before opening his own firm in 1956. Achieving success with his design work, Frattini ventured into jewelry in the 1970s. His jewelry is known for its geometric style, unique gold textures, and gemstone accents. In 1975, Frattini designed a remarkable collection of jewelry for Giò Caroli. His jewelry and home designs have been displayed at the Vicenza Jewelry Museum, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the Museo dei Mobili e delle Sculture Lignee.

Overall Condition: Light scratching and wear to gold consistent with age and use.
