Founded in 1939 by Fulco Santostefano della Cerda, Duke of Verdura, Verdura is known for its sculptural and colorful designs. Early in his career, the duke designed textiles and jewelry for Coco Chanel, creating the iconic Maltese Cross cuffs, and quickly earned praise for his unique work. In 1935, Verdura relocated to New York City and worked with the talented jeweler Paul Flato. In 1939 Verdura founded his eponymous brand, establishing his own salons in both New York and Paris. His iconic designs attracted luminaries such as Babe Paley and Marlene Dietrich. Ten years after Verdura's death, the firm was purchased by Ward Landrigan, who helped Verdura flourish in the 21st century, using archival designs to continue the brand's legacy. Today Verdura design is known for marrying the warm tone of yellow gold with brilliantly colored gemstones, Byzantine and Greek-inspired pieces, and organic designs.

Overall Condition: Some abrasions and small nicks to the peridots. Peridot stones measures approximately 14.50 x 10.60 x 7.50 - 15.20 x 11.30 x 8.95 mm.
