Minor deposits of surface dirt and dust; small paint losses scattered along all extreme edges, with the largest being approximately 1/4 x 1 1/2 inches in area; a diagonal indentation that does not affect the paint layer to the center panel, within the table, approximately 3 inches in length; one thin, short scratch directly above the seated man's head, as well as a thin scratch along the upper right edge; pinpoint liquid droplets in the lower center; vertical striations throughout the panel surface; frame abrasions along the image perimeter; under a thick and highly reflective varnish. Under UV light: the liquid droplets in the lower center fluoresce but do not appear to be inpainting; the indentation in the panel slightly fluoresces but it is unclear if this is due to inpainting; the thick varnish prohibits further viewing of any apparent inpainting.
