The lined canvas in good condition. There is a brown stain on the upper right corner verso, with a small area of corresponding inpainting apparent under UV light. Limited, localized areas of inpainting visible in the upper left corner edge, the shoulder of the dog, the boy's hat in the lower left corner, and along the sole of his left shoe, only apparent under strong raking light. One small spot of liquid residue in the center right of the background. Minor frame abrasions scattered along extreme edges. UV: the above-mentioned areas of inpainting fluoresce.
