A Chippendale Cherrywood Bonnet-Top Chest-on-Chest
Attributed to Eliphalet Chapin (1741-1807), East Windsor, Connecticut, Circa 1790
in two parts, the upper section with broken arch pediment with carved "pinwheel" volutes, and having three turned steeple-form finials, over three short drawers, the center short drawer with carved leafage, over four graduated long drawers, the lower section with waist molding, over four graduated long drawers, on molded base with ogee feet.
Height 86 x width 41 1/2 x depth 21 inches.
