Sturdy and ready to place overall. There is no key included. The painted decoration largely intact and original. Probably with some areas touched-up with overpainting. The top possibly replaced or re-decorated, since it is a different ground color than the rest of the cabinet, but the style and quality of the painted motifs on the top seem consistent with the George III period. The gilded areas with some flaking and cracking. One side's lower gilded molding is detached and loose from shrinkage. The center front foot has a large chip out of one side. The back boards have been later painted over. Other negligible scratches, scuffs and surface wear from use and handling. Additional photos available upon request.
