Alexandria, VA: Gorman & Jordan, Army Photographers, ca 1864. Photographers imprint on mount recto and verso, with additional printed information on verso indicating that the scene is Neg. No. 265 (toning and soiling to print and mount, light vertical crease through print and mount, edge and corner wear to mount). -- 7 1/2 x 9 3/4 in. photograph on cardstock mount with lightly penciled notation in lower margin, "Wood Yard & Wagon Shops." It has been suggested that this photo was taken by A.J. Russell, although this cannot be confirmed. -- Re-Union of Officers of the 50th N.Y. Vol. Engineers. July 4, 1864. From the "Incidents of the War" series (toning and fading to print, few surface abrasions near top left corner of print, edge and corner wear to mount including chipping). -- 9 1/8 x 11 1/2 in. hand-colored photograph on cardstock mount, likely showing a group of GAR veterans gathered at a cemetery to honor fallen Civil War soldiers. The site is decorated with American flags and and foliage (toning, occasional soiling, some edge and corner wear to mount).
