Lot comprised of 6 images, including: 3 1/2 x 2 in. ambrotype featuring a standing portrait of a member of the 7th New York State Militia. Housed in full case (some wear to varnish on plate, some discoloration; case fully separated at hinge). -- Sixth plate ambrotype portrait of a soldier with hat in hand, standing in a studio setting. Housed in full case. Consignor's notes tentatively identify the subject as a member of the 12th New York Militia (image a bit cloudy, otherwise good). -- Sixth plate tintype of an unidentified soldier, possibly a militiaman. Housed in full case (some light surface wear to plate). -- 3 uncased tintype portraits of unidentified military subjects, approx. 3 3/4 x 2 1/2 in. or smaller, highlighted by a seated portrait of a man in formal dress, with sword partially visible at right. His shako rests on his lap (very good overall). Also included is a standing portrait of a soldier who appears to be holding a brass instrument and blanket in his arm and a standing portrait of a mustachioed officer posed before a simple, white studio backdrop (each standing view with some light creasing to plate as well as occasional surface wear).
