Coutts & Company £39, 7 shillings, and 6 pence, for auctioneers Messrs. Thomas and Homan. Faint ink stamp at center, just touching "C" in Dickens's name; creased from when folded, reinforced with tape on verso.
A fine autograph check, signed by Charles Dickens to auctioneers Thomas and Homan. Following Dickens's death in 1870, this very firm would auction the contents of his Gads Hill Place home, from August 10-12, 1870.
