the top can unscrew from base; the underside of base cleat with old jelly label inscribed, "Property of/ H. Sprague Smith/ 85 Georgia Ave."; the underside of base cleat also with evidence of something formerly screwed in / affixed on either side; the base originally had stretchers connecting each leg, which are now missing, one leg with repaired break along scroll, with doweled repair; another leg with repaired break at upper terminal / joint; a repaired split / break along lower part of support, with glue reinforcements visible to this area, as well as the other leg joints at support; a few minor chips / losses to pineapple; the top generally with veneer splitting, losses, and patches, along edges, as well as a few repaired breaks to moldings; the surface of top with wonderful figuring to mahogany, with a few minor water rings or stains
