with wonderful graining to wood throughout, the surface having a nice even finish; presents really well overall; solid and sturdy, the drawers mostly gliding easily; the front two feet with some old repairs and patches, the left-facing front foot with a loss along bottom left edge, and with a visible old split along front, the right-facing foot with a small loss along right bottom edge; with some minor occasional age cracks, including to top edges, side panels, and to drawer fronts, with slight occasional puckering to some veneer; some of the cockbeaded moldings along drawer faces with some patches, and losses, also with some occasional nail repairs or reinforcements, a couple moldings slightly loose to top-most drawer; pulls are old, and possibly original, with no signs of additional screw holes; the back feet and sides with some later glue blocks, some of which are screwed in place; backboards with expected wear commensurate with age and use, one small area of loss along top middle board
