Significant deposits of surface dirt and dust; canvas is lined; network of craquelures throughout, accompanied by flaking paint in areas; two vertical lines of losses along the center right edge, with the longest being 8 inches; the surface texture is uneven; a vertical seam extends from the upper to lower right edges, as well as an approximately 8 inch horizontal seam in the center right, both possibly an indicator of a previous tear repair; frame abrasions along all edges; white paint drips in the lower left corner; under a significantly discolored varnish layer. Under UV light: the thick varnish layer fluoresces green and prohibits viewing of any inpainting. Additional images available upon request.
