lined, but done so awhile ago; cracquelure commensurate with age, and with some slight crazing, although paint surface is stable and secures; with some concentrated areas of green fluorescence under UV light, including to jackets, hairline, eyebrows, an area to left of face, and to perimeter- indicative of a later applied varnish; with some minor occasional areas of retouching, including a vertical area along right-facing side of cheek / chin, a speck to bottom center, some minor specks to upper face and brows, and a subtle vertical area to left of face; frame is not period, but presents nicely, with only occasional minute specks of loss to gilding, but overall intact
