Moderate deposits of surface dirt and dust; canvas is lined; passages of the canvas are pressed due to the lining process; instances of paint separation scattered throughout; frame abrasion extending along the majority of the left edge; areas of inpainting visible in the background, but only under raking light; under a highly reflective varnish. Under UV light: the thick varnish prohibits a clear viewing of inpainting; however, areas of inpainting throughout the background fluoresce slightly; an area of inpainting above the girl's right eye, within the hair, as well as strokes of inpainting to address paint separation around her eyes, nose, and mouth.
