A German Renaissance Revival .800 silver centerpiece bowl, Koch & Bergfeld (founded 1859), Bremen, Germany, circa 1900
Of oblong urn form, with two scrolled handles decorated with foliate motifs and garlands, gadrooned body with be-ribboned oval reserves flanked by putti to either side, on footed base with gadrooned molding on four scrolled feet, the interior with removable silverplated liner (marked “N.S.” to underside), centerpiece marked to base with maker's mark and “800.”
