Of oval shape, the raised border decorated with masques to either end, cattails and flowers, and shields to upper and lower center, the upper shield engraved with name, “Mayer,” the recessed well with repoussé depiction of Amphitrite holding a harp, supported by dolphins and surrounded by naiads, marked along left-facing edge with maker's mark and “800.”
