Provenance:
Early Auction Company, Milford, Ohio, 1989.
In overall fine and stable condition. Retains a fairly even refinished surface and mellow color throughout. Age cracks visible in few areas. Appears to retain the original glass to the hood door. Finials are later. Old repaired crack visible to the central finial plinth. The rear column on the proper left side of the hood is cracked at the upper turning and will need to be reglued. The moon phase dial shows areas of discoloration and wear consistent with rotation. Craquelure to the painted dial with some area of loss. The clock takes a wind and chimes, but the pendulum does not appear to swing properly to ensure movement of the mechanism. The bottom board is lacking. Retains a pendulum, two weights, winding key and case key.
