lot 112: stable and sturdy; the wood elements, particularly the rods, showing signs of shifting and fluctuating with time, but overall the pieces are stable; exhibiting a black painted surface, showing areas of crackling and build-up commensurate with age, combined with probable enhanced touch-ups over time; also with some rubbing and scuffing / abrasions, particularly to arm-rests and seat front; the left-facing arm-rest with repaired break; the back-brace with slight split and loss near one rod / stile, but appears to be surface level; the legs possibly extended and/or partially replaced, although obscured by paint treatment, which may be partially enhanced to match the rest of chair, the stretcher bar subject to the same observation, with some nail reinforcements evident
