McDevitt was the daughter of Colonel Edgar William and Bernice Chrysler Garbisch.
lot 111: exhibiting nice old crackled paint surface, with evidence of wear commensurate with age, including some paint loss (particularly to seat) and some rubbing along edges; appears to have at least a couple paint campaigns; stable and sturdy- fully functional; the feet each have notches that were done after original production, with now plugged holes, probably for alteration for another purpose; the crest-rail with some mends, including one old repair to back right-facing corner of crest-rail, with screw and iron support rod installed with cap; a couple other probable subtle mends to arms, with fill evident to arm-rests
