The unlined canvas in overall very good condition. We notice slight undulating ripples throughout the canvas, both recto and verso, which is due to the absence of middle stretcher bars verso. Examination under UV light does not reveal any sign of inpainting recto (some parts do fluoresce, but this is due to the pigments used by the artists such as lime greens). With a remnant of an old vertical pencil line along the center of the right outer edge. We notice minor scuffs in the upper corners. Overall, the work would likely benefit from a light cleaning. On the verso, we notice several horizontal, and parallel lines of craquelure/crazing (all stabilized). Several of them, varied in size, appear to have been repaired, thinly touched-up (in the upper tier of the canvas). Minor dots of inpainting as seen under UV light in the bottom left corner, as well as in the upper right one. See Specialist's pictures for more details.
