In overall good condition. The paper is laid down to a larger Japon sheet of paper on all sides, making it impossible to inspect its verso. The Japon sheet itself is affixed to the undermat via four pieces of white linen tape placed on the lateral outside edges, at top center and bottom center. The sheet is toned, and with very light mat staining around the image. Missing corner at upper left and bottom left, as well as scattered (minor) paper losses along the left outer edge of the sheet. Small rippled tear on the paper at upper center right, to the right of the iris' stem on the right (about 1 ½ in. long, stretching diagonally but not entirely open throughout). The other edges are largely untouched (save at bottom right above the corner). All sides are irregular. With minor pinholes along the top outer edge as well as along the bottom edge (more intermittently) and bottom left corner. Remnants of old glue along the left, top and bottom outer edges of the sheet (all dried off, but visible by their coloration and texture). Slight discoloration along the outer edges. Four minor, and small, stain drops at center right, in between the collar of the base and the flowers. Diagonal streaks (light creases) visible at bottom left/bottom center left, mostly on the background but also touching the base of the vase. Old paper fold in the bottom left corner (in part covered by the mat). See Specialist's pictures for more details.
