The wax-lined canvas in overall fine to good condition. The work would likely benefit from a light cleaning. With slight craquelure at upper center in the sky and at center left (all stabilized). Examination under UV light reveals scattered minuscule dots of inpainting along the left outer edge of the canvas, with some more (likely inpainted flakes) at upper center left (on the shed and trees) and center left (to the left of the barge, on the snow bank). Some more minor restoration on the tugboat itself (the hull) and at bottom center and bottom center right (on the snow). A few cracks in the sky at upper center have been touched up. A few irregular spots along the stretcher bar mark can also be seen.
