The unlined canvas in overall good condition. With a faint upper stretcher bar mark visible along the top ⅓ of the canvas, with associated craquelure (faint crazing) in the sky in the upper tier of the work. Examination under UV light reveals minor inpainting at bottom left in the snow as well as in the upper tier of the work across the sky: small inpainted vertical cracks visible at upper left quadrant and upper right corner, with minor inpainted flakes also visible at upper center left. We also notice a repair in the sky, with a few pinpoint dots of inpainting in the nearby clouds and in between the top branches at center right. The painting still presents well.
