The lined canvas in fair to good condition. Scattered areas of yellowing varnish in sky, together with a light network of age cracks, most noticeable across upper left quadrant and to the left of the small tree at the top of the cliff. A faint line of stretcher stress extends vertically along the majority of the left side of composition, approximately 3 inches to the right of the frame's edge. Examination under UV light reveals areas of splotchy, dripping varnish within the rocks at lower left and right, as well as limited passages of old inpainting, first and foremost in the center of the cliff face at right (possibly corresponding to a 3" x 3" perpendicular repair), a 1" x 1" circular area just above the largest boulder in the right foreground, and smaller areas in the sky and along/under the edge of the frame. The work would likely benefit from a light cleaning.
