The wax-lined canvas in overall fair condition. With thin, web-like craquelure throughout the work, which appears otherwise stabilized. Examination under UV light reveals several areas of restoration, pretty much throughout the whole composition. Most result from what appears to be old flaking and subsequent losses. See for example along the top and bottom outer edges, intermittently across the sky (most heavily on the sides, and somehow more minor at center). The boat presents well, but is also touched-up on the chimney, some of the nets. The hull is mostly intact save for minor inpainting at center right. Similar pattern along the promenade. The water is less restored than the sky, but we still see some restoration sporadically. See Specialist's pictures for more details.
