In the style of an 18th-century Philadelphia form, in two parts, the upper section with broken arch pediment with carved rosettes and three urn and flame finials, carved shell and foliage over three short drawers, over four graduated long drawers, with quarter columns, the lower section with waist molding, over long drawer, over three short drawers, the center with carved shell and foliage, quarter columns, shaped apron with carved shell and scrolls, on cabriole legs with shell-carved knees ending in ball-and-claw feet.

great overall condition, with nice even surface throughout; old break / loss to upper left-facing corner of molding on upper section; upper section with age split to left-facing bottom back edge, and repaired split to right-facing bottom back edge; a few drawer faces with corner mends / patches, including one to bottom-most center drawer; long drawer on bottom section with mended break along upper center edge of facing; some minor age cracks to sides; left-facing side of upper section with some minor areas of old wormholes, including to molding- some holes with later fill; brasses and escutcheons are replaced, with subtle ghost marks evident for formers; one escutcheon with break / loss to upper part
