Cumberland County (Pennsylvania), April, 1774. Single sheet, 7 1/2 x 12 in. (191 x 305 mm). Manuscript document, signed twice, on recto and verso, by Signer of the Declaration of Independence from Pennsylvania, James Wilson ("Wilson for Deft.") (1742-1798), as an attorney, appearing for his client, George Shad, who was summoned to answer for a debt. Creasing from old folds, separations along same repaired with tape, recto and verso; edges chipped, affecting some letters. In mat and in frame, unexamined out of frame, 19 1/2 x 14 1/2 in. (495 x 368 mm).
