A Chippendale mahogany desk and bookcase Probably Philadelphia, PA, circa 1780

In two parts, the upper section with flat molded cornice, over two paneled doors revealing arrangement of shelves and compartments, the lower section with slant front revealing fitted interior with compartments and prospect door flanked by book slides with fluted pilasters, over four graduated drawers, fluted quarter columns, molded base on shaped ogee feet.

H: 84 in. W: 42 1/2 in. D: 22 in.
