Fine to Very Fine. Bores are Bright with patches of oxidation forming near the muzzles of both barrels. The right barrel shows a pronounced ding 7" back from the muzzle. The browned finish on the barrels shows some edgewear at the breeches with some scuffs to the finish on the barrel flats and on the edges of the lugs. Some further scattered flecks and scuffs appear over the barrels along with a scratch to the barrel rib. The forend shows some light wear at the edges but retains strong case colors. The lower edges of the channel for the stock key show some chips to the metal. A split is forming to the underside of the forend below one of the screws for the key mounting plate. The frame finish shows some light scorch marks on the standing breeches indicative of firing, and shows a gray patina forming over the lower tang. Some traces of brown patina are forming on the underlever knob. The stock has some discolorations and mars to the finish particularly near the butt, along with some scattered light scratches. Flecks of white paint visible on the toe. Some residues adhering to the checkering on the wrist. The leather wrap to the case is flaking and cracked overall with red rot to the exposed areas where the outer layers have flaked off. The leather handle has broken off, and all brass hinges and lock pieces are tarnished. The red velvet lining has moth holes scattered overall exposing some chipping to the edges of the inner lid. The maker label to the box lid is flaking at the edges. All items in case show some handling wear, scuffs, and patina forming. The action of the shotgun locks up tightly on face.
