Rustic wood frame housing 45 silver gelatin images, each measuring approx. 2 1/2 x 2 3/4 in. and mounted on a tin tray then nailed to wood frame back, with overall dimensions of 21 1/2 x 19 1/2 in. (sight), 24 x 21 1/2 in. (framed). Frame with splitting and heavy wear. Images with some flaking to emulsion and losses. Tarnish to mounting tray, overall soil. Some images blurry.

Images are all of well-dressed men in suits and ties, some images with two sitters. While some are posed dour-faced as if in a police mugshot, others are smiling while in more playful and informal poses. The eight images in the fourth row have white rectangular coating near the bottom, perhaps white out, and black ink numbers, seeming to approximate police mugshot numbers and likely a later addition to the images. Paper near bottom center, 5 3/4 x 3 in., has indecipherable top line, perhaps "The [?] of 83" followed by "Milwaukee 1938." An interesting and unique piece of historic ephemera.
