The sale featured outstanding examples of Continental and English furniture, sculpture, and decorative arts spanning four centuries. Lot 1151 | An Italian Baroque Pietra Dura Panel | Sold for $89,400

The top lot of the sale was an Italian Baroque Pietra Dura Panel (Lot 1151) from a California Collector. Attributed to the Grand Ducal Workshops in Florence and dating to the early 17th century, the panel carried a pre-sale estimate of $10,000–20,000 but soared past expectations to realize $89,400nine times its estimate. Another standout, an Italian Neoclassical Black Belgian Marble and Micromosaic Vase (Lot 1180), from the first quarter of the 19th century and attributed to Giacomo Raffaelli, drew significant attention. Featuring figures after Allegories of the Hours of the Day and Night by Michelangelo Maestri, the vase achieved $54,400, more than doubling its low estimate of $20,000. A Pair of Louis XVI Gilt and Patinated Bronze Four-Light Candelabra (Lot 1031), circa 1785 and attributed to François Rémond, also performed strongly, realizing $51,200 against a pre-sale estimate of $15,000–25,000.
