A Season of Firsts

A Season of Firsts

To Our Dear Clients and Friends,

As we welcome the changing of the seasons, Freeman’s | Hindman is excited to present a season of remarkable firsts across our six salerooms. Our autumn commences in Philadelphia on September 10th with the Books and Manuscripts sale, featuring a rare historical gem: The Destruction of the Bastille. This ink-wash drawing, crafted just weeks after the Bastille fell, was a gift to George Washington from the esteemed French military leader, the Marquis de Lafayette. The season continues with our Important Jewelry sale in Chicago on September 12, showcasing exquisite pieces from the Shawver Art Collection Trust and notable highlights from the Collection of Audre Deckmann Carlin.

Fall Mailer Highlights 1

In New York, we will host our inaugural various-owner Asian Works of Art auction in our new Upper East Side saleroom during Asia Week, while in Chicago we will present our Post War and Contemporary Art sale on September 25 and our first Fine Art auction dedicated to Pablo Picasso on the 26th. This will be followed by the merged firm’s first Impressionist and Modern Art auction on October 28, held in Philadelphia.
