A Pearson & Co. Whittington Moor Toby Jug with Cover and a Stoneware Toby Flask
19th Century
the first of ordinary form, holding an empty jug in one hand and pipe in the other, exhibiting a brown to white glaze throughout; with two impressed Pearson & Co. Whittington Moor stamps to the underside; the second depicting a man sitting on a Triple XXX barrel holding a foaming jug, inscribed R. Smith White Hart Stowmarket to the figure's back.
