1 5/8 in. badge comprised of roll-engraved brass silhouette frame and 1 in. tin star insert (frame with trace amounts of original gilt on verso, lock-tabs, and hinge portion of T-bar; insert intact with some bending; no trace of pasteboard backing or cloth façade). 

Fine example of a scarce “frame style” badge excavated from Kennesaw Mountain, GA, in the general area occupied by the XX Corps.
