2 1/2 x 3 in. silver suspender buckles with 9 1/4 in. (fully extended length) chains and 1 1/2 in. hooks (some dark patination throughout, overall good condition). Versos stamped with hallmarks of a noted jeweler and silversmith operating in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in the first half of the 19th century. Buckles feature finely engraved federal eagles with shield, arrows, and olive branches, surmounting floral motif borders. Chains adjust via pulley attachment on buckle.
