4 volumes, 8vo. Engraved frontispieces and maps. Contemporary illustrated morocco gilt (some scuffing, light wear to joints and extremities). Provenance:  S.F. Frisby(?), West Bend, WI (ownership inscription); C.N. Caspar Co., Milwaukee (bookstore stamp). 

FIRST EDITION of Victor's history of the causes of the Civil War and southern secession.
