[AUTOGRAPHS] - [PRESIDENTS]. REAGAN, Ronald. Typed letter signed.
Signed (possibly by autopen) "Ron." Washington: 3 Feb. 1982, on White House letterhead. With W.H. cover and 20 cent stamp, since it is personal communication. Thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Charles Foy (Sarah and Charlie) for the Western-style briefcase they gave him for Christmas. Letter and cover framed together to approx. 15 x 22 in.
Charles Foy (1898-1984) was an American actor of both the vaudeville stage and film. Son of Eddie Foy, Sr., he was one of the famous "The Seven Little Foys." Following his Vaudeville career, Foy had film career which spanned 40 years. He acted with Ronald Reagan in the classic film, Hells Kitchen (1939).
