[EARLY PHOTOGRAPHY] Photographs of African Americans, plus.


Small  image, 1-3/8 x 2 in. on larger (3 x 3.25 in.) mount. No identification of either sitter or photographer. 

4 x 5 in. photo of two boys, one in what appears to be a jockey uniform. No identification. Date on verso Feb. 10, '94.

Cabinet card of young man. Photographer's identification G.W. Varney, Chicago in lower front margin and on verso.

Obl. image of elderly gentleman on boudoir mount printed with Heinhoff, Bridgeport, CT.

Plus image of 4th of July parade, 1906, with boys dressing as "Gold Dust Twins." Gold Dust was a laundry detergent introduced in 1905.
